Hitman: Preview
Demonstration Hitman was almost openly announced two weeks before the conference Square Enix. The main page of the official website of the game was updated, and an image of a world map in gray tones began to circulate on the Internet, where the style was quite clearly guessed. A new part of the series has long been asked to be released, and the community saw it. But the announcement only caused confusion.
The colorful trailer, in the best traditions, showed what everyone has known for fifteen years: elegant murders and the stone face of a bald killer. But what happened next confused the public, to put it mildly. "Downloadable missions" and "online mission map" left viewers very confused. After the show, the developers gave several extensive interviews, and the situation became clearer. There is no reason to be nervous yet.
And I won’t tell you the phone number, bald one
After Absolution everything returned to normal, and the bald killer with the voice David Bateson (David Bateson) again doing what he does best. However, the developers suggest not paying attention to all previous events. Like, the character is iconic and forever young, so it doesn’t matter at all in what time period the next contract takes place. And it doesn’t matter whether this contract is related to the previous one.
Experimentation, cinematography and a focus on an intriguing plot have been sent back to where they grew, and with it all conceptuality Hitman: Absolution. The new part returns to the roots: the original Codename 47 or better Blood Money. A certain conventional storyline will be traced in the new part, but much more important and interesting are the individual stories of the unfortunate victims who will have to be dealt with.
No more checkpoints and linear tasks. Each mission is a puzzle that requires multiple replays, exploration of the area and creativity. At the same time, the new generation of consoles provides new opportunities: any level will be 6-7 times larger than the most spacious stage Absolution, and up to 300 NPCs with unique routes and tasks will walk around the territory.
The authors show everything promised in the first gameplay trailer. The target is another bad rich guy with a Slavic surname. Location: Paris, fashion show. There are really hundreds of people around, and when viewed from a bird’s eye view, the scale inspires respect. While exploring the level, the player will realize that there are a lot of strange and creepy things happening around, each of which can be used to suit your taste. The contract will develop into a whole story, where the biographies of the characters will directly affect the development of events.
Gameplay is familiar. The authors lunaslotscasino.uk repeat the word “sandbox” so often that they seem to be very ashamed of the previous part of the series. Entering the level for the first time, the player begins to explore the area, remember the routes of the heroes and look for unique points for interaction, if any are provided. Having found a way to kill the victim that is most suitable for him personally, he calculates the plan down to the second, implements it and leaves.
There are not many innovations in this scheme, and they are not so significant. For example, it became possible to break down doors using edged weapons. One poor guy in the trailer was literally "soaked in the toilet" (hopefully this will be a permanent option). The system of poisons and poisonings has been expanded: some liquids will kill the target on the spot, some will act as a laxative, some will give a small margin of time before death.
Suitcases will return, where you can hide the necessary props before starting the mission. In addition, the authors say that the player can throw the gun into the middle of the roadway, move away, and then security will come running, start asking, suspecting and investigating, and take the weapon and take it to his closet. All that remains is to steal it, thereby bypassing metal detectors.
The expanded behavior system will include a new class of enemies – “observant”. These are bloodhounds who remember everyone around them (their colleagues, for example) by sight and, seeing an unfamiliar waiter, will immediately suspect something is wrong. “Eagle vision” will help you escape from such things, which will return in some “more elegant” form.
Talking about the fun methods of passing, the authors emphasize that an unprecedented set of tricks will be available to players: in the trailer, the villain is killed from a nearby roof, and by pretending to be a bartender, and by throwing the decorations of a fashion show on top of him (an accident, as always, is the most spectacular option). And in another task you will have the opportunity to pour a little explosive into a golf ball – one hit, and… Just as you like.
The “home” location will return, where you can purchase new equipment, new types of weapons and unique devices. You will need to spend money earned during tasks on this. And everything seems to be fine with the new part: the authors are doing exactly what the fans ask. But when it comes to the internal organization of the game itself, questions begin.
Planet of Assassination
In December it will be possible to pick up from the virtual shelves of online stores Hitman (this name was chosen because the new part supposedly summarizes all the best in the series). But not everything is so simple: buyers will not receive the whole game, but only a set of starting tasks. How much is still kept secret. The overall storyline is spread out over time and will be delivered gradually throughout 2016. A kind of serial structure. Only after the release of all updates will the retail version appear.
In the intervals between the release of new missions, they will not forget about the players, but will diligently entertain them. The most remarkable thing is the new regime, where Forty-Seven has no room for error. Every now and then a task will appear on the world map that must be completed in one attempt. Somewhere in a familiar location a new character appears with a certain description – if you fail to kill him, the mission will disappear from the radar forever. It will disappear even if you just don’t turn on the game for a couple of days: such orders are available for only 48 hours.
The “contracts” system will reappear: players can still challenge each other by pointing at random NPCs in a location and asking others to kill them. There will also be regular “challenges” for various story missions, allowing you to return to replaying again and again. Other modes have not been announced, but the authors talk a lot about creating a whole “world of murders”, that the game will dynamically develop and be supplemented over time.
All subsequent content packs will be developed based on user feedback and tools built into the game. The authors will constantly collect statistics, rebalance weapons, monitor the most popular methods of killing and develop the project in this direction.
In general, judging by the developers’ words, they are trying to make their own PayDay 2 – a game with the longest possible life cycle, supported by constant expansion. That’s just a big "how"?!": there will be no paid "skins", microtransactions, gold "trunks" and other things in the game. Buy once and eventually receive all available content. And now this already sounds very strange. How long can you rivet new missions for free?? Or the authors will wave their hand and say: “You misunderstood us.”?
While the gameplay Hitman does not raise any questions, complaints or special emotions; the shell in which the game is wrapped remains completely incomprehensible. If you believe all the promises, it turns out that the authors are making a full-fledged new part, but in the format of a series. By adding daily tasks, “challenges”, asynchronous multiplayer. And everything would be fine, but so far there is not a single answer to the question: why reinvent the wheel if they even promise not to take money for DLC?
PlayStation 4 users will be the first to know the answer: a “beta” for pre-order has been announced for them. And after the release – packs of additional content, up to full-fledged locations that are not available on other platforms. The rest will have to wait until December. Or at least gamescom, where they will show something new.
